What is the Qatar Private Sector Nationalisation Award?

A national award launched by the Ministry of Labour pursuant to Amiri Decision No. (27) of 2025. The award aims to encourage positive competition among private sector organizations in nationalizing jobs by honoring organizations that have met nationalisation targets and contributed to Qatar’s national vision. It also recognizes national talent employed in the private sector, including visionary and innovative pioneers.

Applications are accepted from private sector organizations within the sectors covered by nationalisation, and from individuals who are Qataris working in the private sector.

The nine sectors designated in the state’s nationalisation policy: Financial Services, Logistics Services, Manufacturing Industries, Healthcare Services, Construction & Building, IT & Digital Services, Tourism, Education, and Food & Agriculture.

The award consists of two categories:
Entities Awards: Sectoral and Thematic.
Individuals Awards: Sectoral and Thematic.

Sectoral Awards: Promote a culture of positive competition, where entities compete within similar operational environments and individuals compete within comparable career paths, thereby recognizing achievements within their appropriate practical context.
Thematic Awards: It recognizes distinguished and wide-impact initiatives that address specific themes aligned with the strategic direction of the Ministry of Labour, encompassing the participation of both entities and individuals within periodically updated focus areas.

No. Participation in the Individuals Awards is limited to Qataris only.

Achievements from 1 January 2024 through 31 December 2025 will be considered. Supporting evidence and data must be dated within this period, unless a category’s criteria state otherwise.

  • Jury deliberation and ratification of results by the Board of Trustees of the Qatar Private Sector Nationalisation Award.

  • Clear governance: Oversight by the Ministry of Labour and ratification of final results by the Board of Trustees.
  • Clear, unified Assessment Criteria: Detailed scoring checklists specify what is measured under each item and how weightage is calculated, applied equally across all categories.
  • Multi-stage evaluation: Eligibility screening → desk evaluation → interviews/on-site visits → final judging and ratification.
  • Assessor independence: Qualified assessment and judging teams sign conflict-of-interest and confidentiality declarations, with a recusal mechanism where needed.
  • Documentation & quality reviews: Verification of submitted evidence and, when necessary, documentary/random checks.
